I'm not sure what kind of angle to play into, and the fact that this will be the most iconic voice of the campaign, I don't want to blow it. While I don't have a great range, my RP is one of my better skills, so I'm not afraid to try something (though my falsetto is all but shot these days). The whole scenario just seems so ridiculous. A man turns up claiming to have suffered from amnesia but is in fact the long lost heir to Downton Abbey and the title. Pfft.
He's apparently only been 'dead' for barely 4 years at that point (Titanic sank in 1912) yet speaks with a perfect Canadian accent and not a trace of an English accent. He is disfigured from burns and yet can offer no real claim to the title other than some random childhood 'memories' (which as Mary points out, would have been pretty generic to children growing up in their social class at the time).
No-one apart from Edith so much as speaks to him, not even Robert, who you would think would have the greatest interest in the matter, no-one asks any really searching questions that only an intimate member of the family would know etc. Do any of the others even clap eyes on him?
And then he just drifts off into oblivion never to be seen, heard or mentioned ever again.
It's just truly bizarre and I'm not sure what JF intended by it. It's all very strange.
