2025.01.18 00:42 BigGreenApples My dog needs surgery soon. Any recommendations for pet insurance + vet offices in Georgia?
One of my pups has been diagnosed with a severely luxating patella. Looking around on the internet, I see the costs vary a lot, but I know it’s going to be pretty pricey (around $3k to $5k). I am willing to do this if it means she lives a better, more comfortable life, but I am admittedly financially unprepared for the cost of this.
A good majority of these vets use the CareCredit card, which I am not interested in. I’ve seen a little bit about pet insurance, which looks promising, but I see virtually no vets around me (I’m in Kennesaw) that accept any form of it. I’m also just concerned about the actual surgery as well. My vet let me know there’s a lot of “backyard” surgeons who seem to have offices, credentials, whatever it may be and still do a shoddy/borederline dangerous surgery on vets. I would be grateful for any and all recommendations.

So I’m a female in my early twenties, I had a pretty significant amount of trauma in my childhood, which has given me some nice (sarcastic) diagnoses like CPTSD, OCD tendencies, and anxiety, and depression. The traumas are mainly caused by my parents and very unstable environment.
The book would be for me, as a way to put cope with the feelings and thoughts I still deal with to this day. How do I go about this? Where do I start? I would like some tips or suggestions from other authors!

Has anyone worked in the same hospital with people from their nursing cohort, specifically one that doesn’t like you / talked about you after a friendship fallout? Me and this girl were pretty close and met in nursing school for a solid 1.5 years, however after a bit I started noticing red flags in the friendship like how she would talk badly about so many people, her own friends, even those she’s never talked to. She’d judge so many people for no reason and it rubbed me wrong. She also continously tell me things about her OLD bestfriend, still after years since their friendship breakup she still told me all these things about her that I didn’t ask for. I started distancing myself and she flipped out and cursed me out pretty badly lol. I didn’t give her a reaction of course and we graduated a few months later and I never saw her again. However, I notice now she’s working at the same hospital as I am and just on a different floor. We’re a pretty small hospital and she’s been there a few months before me. She’s talked about me after I ended the friendship at school so she’s basically blocked everywhere, how should I handle it if she starts talking about me at my new job to those around hepeople on my floor?
She’s bound to get floated or i’ll have to float to her floor eventually. I know how she is and especially towards her “old” friends who she isn’t friends with anymore. Advice?
