 | when I export my FBX file I can see that the roughness and normal map have been exported into the model but not the albedo. I've tried changing the path mode and even re baked on a new image texture thinking I messed something up while messing with it previously.  | Hey folks, I have this 2531.80 from 2006. It was recently serviced and is running perfectly. Cosmetically it’s a little rough around the edges, both figuratively and literally. There’s a light scratch on the crystal around the 11 o’clock mark. It honestly isn’t even noticeable most of the time. Bezel insert is faded but that’s actually kind of cool. To get a new bezel and crystal, and have it refinished it would be around $500. Some folks however are adamant about never having these watches refinished since it removes metal. I’ve also seen some refinished watches that look really good. im a 19 year old girl and ive had swollen lymph nodes for about 2 months some have gotten bigger and some stayed the same they’re achey and sore sometimes not always went to the doctors and my bloods came back fine. i also had an ultrasound and they just said reactive lymph nodes. i haven’t been ill at all in months so i dont understand it. i feel tired all the time have no energy and my joints are constantly aching and hurting its so bad sometimes i literally cry and cant feel comfortable. i also sometimes get like weird shooting pains throughout my body like itll make me twitch thats in mainly my back and legs. idk if i have rosacea or something but i get red across my nose and cheeks and it makes my face feel tight and im not sure if that relates. mostly its random but i get that when i feel tired and a lot after work. i get really bad headaches that feel as though my head will explode and i cant focus on anything else when they happen. i kinda feel dizzy a lot too like if i look somewhere other than the same spot im staring at i feel spinny

Do you use one? Is it worth it?
I have a carseat cover as my baby is still in a bucket seat. We use it to and from the car and when I attach the bucket seat to the stroller. Once we're inside, I unzip it.
However, if it's a long car ride, I don't like to keep my baby in the bucket seat. I'd rather put him in the stroller.
I would use the bunting bag to keep him warm to and from the car as I feel putting a jacket on is such a hassle. Especially when it's -25°.

2025.01.22 22:58 HereForTheLore 2010 Hyundai Elantra catalyst and emissions still incomplete
I bought a 2010 Hyundai elantra in March 2024 that had about 120,500 miles on it. I bought it in PA then moved to CA, and now I have to get it to pass a smog test. It’s had the check engine light on for about a month and I got a OBD2 scanner that said it was just a small emissions leak. I reset it to see if it resolved itself or was a faulty gas cap so I replaced the gas cap (which was surprisingly loose compared to the new one lol), and have driven it 250 miles since resetting, about 150 of those were freeway and the rest residential/short trips. I plugged my OBD2 in after 100 miles and it says that the catalyst and emission test are incomplete, okay, and after another 150 miles it still says both are incomplete, what do I do??
I found a paper that says I have to turn it on, let it idle for 15 min, drive 10 mins with the RPM between 2000-2400, then idle for a minute, push the throttle… but that seems too complex just for a simple drive cycle!

Hey all,
This is a vent post after having received my second rejection letter of the cycle (and it's only January!)
This is my second year applying to schools and I have been trying my best to build up my resume after I got rejected from 8 schools last year (Clinical Psych). For better context, I also had a change of interest and am now pursuing experimental psych and social psych programs with a focus on existential psychology. I thought this would also help make getting in easier, as the bar for Clinical is just so high, but I did it because I realized that while I liked my courses in clinical psych (Intro to counseling during my UG) I didn't think I would actually enjoy the job.
Fast forward to now, I have been working as the assistant to my UG school's Dean of Research as the assistant as well as the assistant to the school IRB officer. In addition, I have been working with a team of professors on papers and I expect to have two papers published this semester. In honesty, I didn't have the best GPA (3.43 overall, 3.83 in my major courses), but I thought my research experience would help bridge that gap. That really is the only reason I took the jobs I did as, while I enjoy the work, I am also receiving terrible pay (12.50/hr). I figured this would be worth it in the end though as my goal has been getting into grad school.
I applied to 7 schools this cycle and did everything I could. I had professional help putting together my CV and papers, I got strong recommendation letters from professors I trust and have worked well with, and I reached out and communicated with professors at most (some didn't respond) of the schools. I was received positively by everyone I talked to, and I have really good relationships at my UG University (that's how I got the job working for the Research Dean). At one of the schools, I even got to talk to one of the professors I was hoping to work with in what I thought was a highly productive Zoom meeting. Everything was looking up, and I was looking forward to this cycle with a good feeling.
Then the first rejection letter came in. It was one of the schools at the bottom of the list, the bottom choice of schools. I wasn't really phased by this (how could I with 7 rejections last year), but it still made me slightly uneasy. Today I got rejected from the school I had the most hope for though. It wasn't my number one choice, but it was the one I had spoken to the professor with on Zoom and had made several connections with. I had it in my mind as the highest chance of getting in. Now I feel really uneasy about the rest of the schools. Realistically, I have 5 schools left, but I am fearful that the same thing will happen this year as last and I'm not sure what to do.
Everyone always says that psychology is the UG degree with almost an expectation of going to graduate school. Indeed, I want to go to grad school and become a researcher, but I feel like I'm watching that dream burn in front of my eyes. I never had a good plan B because this was always what I wanted to do. What's worse is that I don't think I'll be able to improve my resume for next year even if I am compelled to try for a third year straight. My student loans are expensive, and without getting into grad school, I will be forced to pursue as high-paying a job as I can to focus on that. This means that my pursuit of working with a research office and team will more than likely be over, and my grad resume will be as good as it gets.
I just wanted to make this post to vent and possibly commiserate with anyone experiencing anything familiar. I hope all of us who are waiting will get in and won't have to pursue other, less desirable, paths.

I will occasionally receive buzz tips on my images, for which I'm always grateful as it's nice to know when one's art is enjoyed, but the tips are generally in the range of 10-20 buzz. Today I received two tips of 2,000 buzz each on a couple of my images and I was unable to identify the individual that tipped. Am I missing the location where I can find out who it was or is that something that is generally hidden? It'd be nice to drop a quick thanks to that individual if I could due to the sizable tip, but I'm wondering if that's even possible.

 | One of my favourite things about taking photos on holiday is being able to make new phone backgrounds when I get home! Until now I had just been occasionally switching between wallpapers when I felt like it, but I decided to use shortcuts and automation to handle this for me and make each day a bit different. It’s not the most complicated flow, but it has four parts. Shortcut 1: Set random light mode wallpaper Shortcut 2: Set random dark mode wallpaper Automation 1: Run shortcut 1 at sunrise. Automation 2: Run shortcut 2 at sunset. Shortcuts 1 and 2 are essentially the same. Set the appearance to light or dark, then make a random number between 1 and N, where N is the number of wallpapers you want to switch between for that mode. Then do an if-statement for each number and use the “switch wallpaper” action to change your wallpaper. The UI for selecting the wallpaper is pretty good! The automations are super simple “time of day” automations running at sunrise and sunset. Make sure to set them to run immediately and not to notify when run for a smoother experience. Another benefit is you can re-roll your wallpaper by just running the shortcut manually if you feel like it. Feel like a minority here but I think Charlotte’s accent is one of the ironically funniest, campiest, and actually quite smart moves a contestant has ever made?
Leanne and Jake’s conversation today about Alexander regarding his articulation and intellect summarised exactly how this group of faithfuls feel about perceived poshness and how that can (whether rightly or wrongly) be perceived as intelligence.
Alexander’s accent has definitely been a barrier to the others trusting him, so Charlotte actually stumbled on a blinder with the whole accent thing. I’d hazard she wouldn’t be as trusted as she is if she spoke in her real accent.
I mean we even saw it with Kas. Joe was definitely likening him to Rishi Sunak when he said he talks like a politician.
So there’s of real world social implications/theory that you can extrapolate from accentgate. And, as I said, it’s equally pretty campy. Excellent TV!

I just lost my dad. He was 74. Hx of COPD (well controlled) and was on blood thinners about 10 years also hx of afib and psoriasis. Extremely compliant patient and very active his whole life and was doing amazing. Quit smoking like 30 years ago. Occasional beer. The doctor said his ejection fraction wasn't that bad so he could come to see us for Christmas and I'm so thankful we had that time but now I'm questioning if that was the wrong decision?
Had a TAVR and something went wrong and he didn't make it. I guess they hit something and then cut him open horizontally but he lost too much blood? Am I understanding that correctly though? I just really need to understand why what how I guess. Im sorry if it seems trivial but I just feel like I really need to know. This is so heavy and a huge shock.
Tldr my dad died during a TAVR and I just can't wrap my mind around how that happens.
