Earlier this year I was belatedly fulfilling my CLE requirements by video, and the attorney who led one of the trainings (an exquisitely neurotic dude from the Bronx, basically a Latino George Costanza) mentioned some experiences he had when work brought him upstate in the past.
One such experience outside Rochester apparently involved a local attorney who followed my trainer dude back to his car while yelling racist insults and threatening a fight. After he told that story, he went on to say that when he mentioned the incident back at the local office, he was told matter-of-factly that the town is run by the KKK, from the executive and town justice on down.
No idea what town was his was or when exactly, but the guy is pretty young so we’re talking years, not decades. For my part I recall hearing some rumblings about the Klan in some of the many, many red bits of upstate (maybe Herkimer county?) sometime in the past.
Might anybody here be able to validate these claims and/or identify the town(s) in question? One the one hand I could see folks in such town(s) being reluctant to share, but on the other hand this is info which (if true) is absolutely the kind of thing that should be exposed via the Reddit > media pipeline.

2025.01.23 16:41 CallmeWolferl Pc Fehlermeldung, fehlerhafte Hardware?
Moin,
Mein PC streikt mal wieder.
Vorhin ist er beim Spielen von Witcher 3 abgeschmiert und fährt seitdem nicht mehr richtig hoch. Zuerst, direkt nach dem Absturz, leuchteten nur die beiden RAM sticks und außer dem Lüfter der PSU drehte sich nichts. Dann habe ich den PC hinten aufgemacht um mal reinzugucken, siehe da, eins der beiden Motherboard-Kabel( das mit weniger pins, 8 glaube ich) steckte nicht richtig in fer PSU. Wie das passiert ist, keine Ahnung, hab ihn schon fast seit einem Jahr und davor nie Probleme mit kompletten Systemabstürzen. Ich habe dann beide MB Kabel wieder ordnungsgemäß reingesteckt und alles wieder zu.
Ich starte den PC also wieder, diesmal bekomme ich einige Windows-Fehlermeldungen. Erst:
Windows\System32\drivers\cht4sx64.sys Fehlercode: 0xc0000221
Und dann beim zweiten Start:
Stop Code: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL What failed: ntoskrnl.exe
Hab ich meine Hardware eventuell durch zu wenig Stromzufuhr frittiert? Ist gerade mein Worstcase szenario.
Meine Specs sind:

2025.01.23 16:41 WayAdministrative679 The case against Zach LaVine to the Lakers
I've been seeing a lot of buzz surrounding it for a while, and i just want to share my thoughts against it.
- Zach LaVine isn't what this team needs, we have needs to fix wasting all our tradable salary (Rui, Gabe, Vanderbilt, JHS, etc) LaVine just isn't possible with Dlo's salary gone. Not to mention they'd want picks for taking on Vando's and Gabe's contracts. A people I've seen mention "depth" against LaVine are in theory correct, but in actuality incorrect. Our team has the worst bench production in the league, our team desperately needs a trade for a 3&D Guard (Bruce Brown, Zo, or Brogdan) and a Backup Center. LaVine is neither a 3&D guard or a Backup center, trading for LaVine is making a trade for the sake of making a trade.
- Zach LaVine for his career is a negative defender, Defensive BPM has rated him in the negatives since he's been drafted. Essentially according to defensive BPM he's on the same level as Reaves on defense (both are a -1.3 this season). If Reaves is already getting targeted on defense we wouldn't get better with LaVine. Having two defensive liabilities (Austin and Lavine) in your lineup especially as your backcourt is just terrible and no team will ever win without defense. You can't just count on a roster who's already bad on offense to "out-score" your opponents come playoff time. Any team in NBA history that has tried to "out-score" everybody was sent to Cancun in April.
- Zach LaVine is also injury prone, with two injury riddled stars in Anthony Davis and LeBron James we don't need to bring in another one. Zach Lavine has missed the majority of three seasons (2017, 2018, 2024) due to injury. We already have a injury prone roster outside of James and Davis, we don't need to add to that with someone else who's known for being injury prone.
- With the acquisition of Dorian Finney-Smith this Lakers team is leaning towards a defensive mindset. The Lakers have been targeting players who are known to be plus defenders (Bruce Brown, Malcom Brogdan, Lonzo Ball, Dorian Finney-Smith, Walker Kessler, and Robert Williams III) with players on the roster who are Plus-Defenders such as Cam Reddish, Max Christie, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Anthony Davis. Zach LaVine isn't a Plus-Defender and doesn't fit the identity we are trying to build.
- LaVine to the Lakers would be Russell Westbrook 2.0, why would we pay someone a max contract for MLE production? Everyone on this sub hated the Russ move but there's also people in the same crowd who advocate for a similar move? We're still suffering from the repercussions of that trade why would we do a similar style trade? three stars just don't work in the new CBA. Look at the Suns they're almost out of the Play-In in a competitive west why? Because they have no roster flexibility with three max contracts it didn't work last year and it won't work this year it won't ever work in this Modern CBA.

Hello becourse of the last few days i dont know if i should still buy a 3d printer from bamboolabs i get so much conflicting massages like No its restricts you to only use the bambolabs software and it is only cloud based and so but i also hear yes you can buy it its only bad for the x1 searis or yes its dont effect people that just use it for hobby stuff can you still use the printer in Lan mode without connecting it to the web ? or did they restrict it alrady?
