I have an EU temp residency card from Poland. I was laid off in December last year and was told by the company that laid me off that I would have 3 months to find another job/company to sponsor my existing temp residency.
I've found another job but they told me that there is not enough time to update my existing temp residency and they will redo the whole process of temp residency, starting with applying for a type A work permit to allow me to work with them.
Is there no way to keep my current temp residence card valid and avoid applying for a temp residency all over again? It took about 8 months last time and I couldn't leave the country during that time since I couldn't return to the country without a valid visa.
Also, is there a way for me to check digitally if my current temp residency card is valid or not? I haven't received any emails from anywhere about my residency card losing its validity yet. Afaik, it should be valid for 3 months following my layoff but I don't want to risk it and learn that it's not valid at the airport.
TLDR: Is there a way for me to check digitally if my current temporary residency card is valid or not?

My son is m5 we are in scotland I'm f36 and me amd his dad m45 are at breaking point. He has been held back a year at nursery due to not being emotionally ready. His reports are he's a well behaved boy very smart and sweet and sensitive and very helpful and has his wee friendship group. He has turned really destructive and he's destroying our home I can't take anymore. He will draw on walls pour out bath toiletries I.e shampoos amd stuff will take stuff out fridge waste food has wasted all my make up too. we have removed his wooden table amd chair as uses these to access stuff and climb over baby gates if I have juice lying will pour it out into other things like my unlit candle jars he throws things out door letterbox I can't turn my back for a second, he will throw shoes and stuff out back door if open for dog. He has plenty toys and books he's at nursery 2.5 days during week we will have art days, we go to parks and we have started going out walks and he takes pictures with my phone of diffrent nature we see and we have started learning about the things we see I try my best to keep him busy amd occupied and spend time with him at weekends we go away amd started swimming every Sunday. I do crafts as a hobby and I've started letting him help me do foam rose teddy bear I'm making for his papas grave. I'm not house proud and we let him play amd tidy up at bedtime. I'm at breaking point when I tell him off I get told I hate you and stuff. I've tried taking away toys and stuff works but then it's back to him just being destructive. We are a normal working family so don't have loads money keep replacing stuff. I feel like I'm doing something wrong hes my world and we do everything with him and make sure he gets lots of play and days out so I'm not sure wjere we are going wrong. When I ask him why he just laughs. I've had meetings with nursery and health visitor but nothing I try works. Any advice please.

How to cope with sudden loss The youngest of our two girls, Tchotchke (on the right), was found yesterday afternoon and unfortunately had passed. I am beyond upset and all I’ve done since is cry. She was just under two years old. We originally got her because our girl Marcy (left) was reaching the age of 3 and seemed super lonely and I didn’t want her to become depressed. They instantly clicked and began to groom one another, play, and snuggle closely together in the first few days. They’ve been together since for over a year now. I am just horrified at the thought of Marcy being alone again after losing her young friend so suddenly and am struggling myself. I’m reaching out because I’m sat here at 4am unable to sleep. I am so worried that Marcy will not recover from this loss and can’t help but feel like it’s my fault. She did see the body yesterday and was able to have a moment with her. When we got home from the burial, she went to their favorite sleeping spot and dooked a bit, concerning me she may not have understood what happened. She is currently munching away at her food which I’m hoping is a good sign. I am just wondering what to look out for and if I should be leaving her alone or should I be taking her everywhere with me? Or if that will stress her out more? I am just at a loss. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Affection is big for me so I try to show it as a way to get it in return. But this morning I was really irked by this conversation.
Yesterday, went for a walk and while I was walking I was listening to a book that really helped me appreciate what I have in life. When I got back, she was just sitting on the couch and I went in to give her a nice long kiss and got denied because i was “sweaty”. Context here: no visible sweat.
So watching football last night after the game, Taylor gives Travis a kiss. So I bring up the fact that “look she gave him a kiss and he’s sweaty I bet”.
She responds with “well he’s going to the Super Bowl”.
This really crushed me and makes me even think that she just tolerates me rather than chooses me.

2025.01.27 12:38 Routine_Eve I would like to upgrade my shower chair 🪑 🚿

Hi friends,
I have some physical issues which have always prevented me from showering "enough" but that's all been solved by a shower chair YAY! Completely changed my life.
However I have noticed that the chair, which I've had for about a year, has got some design flaws.
The hollow plastic back rest piece has partially filled with water that presumable leaked in ever so slowly from the 6 small holes in that piece (two "drainage" looking holes which are uselessly placed on the back, and the 4 screw holes) and now it sloshes when I move it and I can't get it out and I can't stop thinking about mold and bacteria in there.
Along the same lines, the rubber feet grew that black bathtub mold, I think because it didn't occur to me to go in there and dry them off after every use (esp when it's just my partner standing to shower with the chair in there like a table)
Anyway now I want a new chair which won't fill with water and ideally I would like to be able to buy replacement feet from the manufacturer.
Any leads?
