Had my VERA call on Friday. The lady was super nice and very informative. Unfortunately she couldn't give me a time frame but did say that around 130 days seems to be the sweet spot. Not holding my breath but lets hope!
I have 3 increases and 5 secondaries for context. It was also the office in St Pete that I spoke to.

 | I have installed Alarmo in Home Assistant. I have ALARMO set up and have assigned sensors to different areas of the house. I am now trying to figure out how to assign the sensors to the different modes. Currently when I look at the modes on the GENERAL tab it says “zero sensors active”. A manager at the restaurant that I work at has an 8 year old little girl. This little girl runs a muck in the front and back of house every time she's up there, 90% of the time barefoot.
She runs around in the kitchen barefoot. Almost had a tray of food fall on her. The walk in door almost smacked her face when someone was coming out of it. While barefoot she should run behind the cook line while the cooks are cooking(flattop on, deep fryer on, knives being used).
I told MY manager that the next time she is in the kitchen barefoot without supervision, I was going to call the cops on the manager for child endangerment. A knife could be dropped, bounce up and stab her. She could get curious and touch a flat top or a fryer and burn herself. Hot food and plates could fall on her from running around servers trying to take food out. Get smacked by the walk in door and get a broken nose. Being barefoot, she could cut her feet on glass that missed being swept up.
I try so hard to keep her from going in the back. I give her dollars for the claw machine to keep her occupied.
I was told that "because she grew up there (6 years)" that the others don't mind.
Not only fear for her safety, she also causes cross contamination. Digging her hand into the ice we use for customers. Touching the desserts in the front bake case. Causes product waste by using the freestyle machine to make cups of drinks that she puts everywhere.
She's also called the police twice from the landline. Plays with the POS/ computer for cashing out. Pulls and breaks restaurant property. Touches and plays with the servers food on our "eating spot" in the back. Eats off of random plates (servers and customers).
This child is always in the back barefoot without her mother, the manager, running around. I'm scared that one of us will drop something on her, a tray of food, on her one day. Or worse, she'll run behind the cook line and burn herself or cut herself on knives, or even get into the cleaning chemicals that we use.
I told my manager my concerns. She went to the GM and told him everything that we've seen and that we would appreciate it if he spoke to her mother about it. Months have gone by and nothing has changed.
And with corporate watching the cameras, I would assume that the GM would talk to her mother about it.
And this is only what I and my manager have seen while on the clock. I can only imagine what happens when we're not there.
I'm not "complaining" or "ragging about" this situation. I'm actually concerned if it's child endangerment with her running around the kitchen barefoot like that.
Us servers cannot stop what we're doing to keep an eye on her in the back. We have a job to do as servers, not as babysitters.

2025.01.29 02:40 Ok-Atmosphere4889 Worried About My Yorkie Puppy’s Health! Advice Please!
My Yorkie is 6 months old. I recently took him to the vet to get bloodwork done to see if he was fit to be neutered. The vet said everything was normal besides some elevation in I believe white blood cells. She reassured me she thinks that it’s fine and that she sees this all of the time in young puppies. She didn’t really seem concerned. He’s also been having diarrhea which once in a while is not uncommon for him. Yorkies tend to have gut issues in general so she is having me give him probiotics. He also had this wart looking growth which is why I took him in to begin with. (Photo is at the very end) She said she believes it’s a histiocytoma and will resolve itself. We took samples of that and are waiting on the results. I guess I’m just really anxious and worried that something could be wrong and am wondering if anyone who has had a Yorkie puppy ever experienced anything similar? I love him more than anything and I simply can’t sleep or stop having anxiety even though my vet doesn’t seem concerned.

Hi, never tried this before. I'll just give you a run down of me and if you want message me.
I'm 30 but I look like I'm really young, long kind of shaggy brown hair and I'm an athletic build and work out frequently (at home). I don't get out I'm a shut in who copes with stress through video games (mostly castlevania). I have no one here in Texas, I moved from very far away and don't know anyone.
I mean ideally I would like to meet someone older who can just take over my life for me. (I'm very codependent) I need someone to tell me what to do basically. I'm not a bum I make my own money and do my own thing. I just want someone to love me unconditionally and want me and to be with me. Formulating a budget for completely restoring / renovating an old brick home that needs all utilities. Western NY between Buffalo and Rochester. Cold winters, humid hot summers.
The house is triple run of brick with mostly intact plaster. Has 5 fireplaces on 2 chimneys, to which I would like to add gas inserts. For the primary heating/cooling capacity, I'm considering:
- geothermal loops,
- mini-splits,
- VRF/VRV (I just learned about this tech), or
- just a new high efficiency gas furnace & AC with new ductwork, if I can't make the greener options work on my budget.
Given this, are these systems above my only options? Are there others I'm missing? What might be best and what ballpark costs can I expect for installation?

I recently was accepted into the drug court program. I was caught with my (now ex) boyfriend’s snowy powder (.2g) after I found it in his belongings unbeknownst to me he ever did this stuff. He was getting arrested for something else, I was gathering his things. I took it out of the wallet to see wtf was sticking out the side, it was now in my possession… even after he told them it was his. I got charged with BOTH things, he only got the one….as Florida has no accessory charges and the police were SO rude. I’ve never done that stuff… but I fully understand the situation, I’m not with that person anymore, and the mental I’ve gone through as a parent during this is insane. I’m blessed I have the opportunity and get this expunged. QUESTION…………. **Female - 100lbs - 3 days sober right now & I have at home level tests that are sky HIGH!!! (I’m not though) I have a MMJ card in Florid a through my psychiatrist. They do not accept this. Whatever…I’ll be depressed for another year, nothing new, whatever. I cannot phase out of level 1 until I’ve been completely clean from THC for over 30 days…fine. I’ve been a smoker for 10 years now, and I want to get the THC out of my system as fast as possible so I can phase up. I keep reading 45-80 days for heavy smokers… I ONLY want to phase up so I don’t have to take off every Tuesday from work, for court. Phase 2 I can do zoom… so this is not just a “get clean for my next test” question. I just want it out as soon as I humanely can by what? Exercise, red meats, goldenseal, niacin, St John’s-Wort, cranberry juice, saunas??? I already go to the gym 4days a week, have been. I can not do cardio due to a cracked hip issue. Literally the only reason I’m posting and asking is because the Tuesday thing could cost me my job, and zoom would be so much better. (I asked, I HAVE to phase up first, prove myself, I understand)
