I was woken up by my hair being pulled , then a slap landed across my cheek and then another , i was just trying to process what was happening. It was my mom. shielding my face i asked her what was wrong , she showed me my phone(she has full access to it) it was a pic of me i took last night , mirror selfie , button up shirt pulled down shoulder barely covering my chest.
she asked who i was sending ''nudes'' , it was just one pic on Snap chat which i didn't even saved , but unfortunately i also forgot to discard it. I pleaded , swore i didn't send it to anyone. I really didn't , i just clicked it cause i was feeling stupid and hot and to delete it right after. Of course she didn't believed me , she beat me up black and blue, i didn't even attempt to stop her . I sat quietly and took it all , cause her words were hurting more. She called me names, she said ''Is this why we give you freedom to educate , if you wanna get naked you can earn money from that , why to waste our money if you are going to bring such shame to us. i regret thinking you were mature enough to understand but you are so selfish and self obsessed you only think about yourself. or do you really think you are so beautiful?'' she even cried.
My family is very VERY strict and We are not financially well off still they gave me best education they could ,i have seen my mom and dad ignore hospital bills for my education fees but i also do my best. MOM , I am a topper all i ever do is study,i avoid coaching classes choosing self study instead , i watch my friends go on school trips , functions , vacations , learn new skills...while i make excuse of health or study cause we couldn't afford it , i never complained , i still don't , i know it's bare minimum but what else can i do! and how could i ever feel beautiful mom , whole family has ''joked'' about my ''dark'' skin color all my life cause all my cousins are white as ghost.
it's been five days she still gives me silent treatment and taunts continue. i just fucking hate my life. I am sorry for what i did but how much longer am i gonna have to take the punishment ?

I have an odd question- my father passed away & I never retrieved his frequent flyer miles. What does it take to move frequent flyer miles from his account to mine? & more importantly does anyone know the cost involved?
When he was still alive - it would have cost quite a lot as it added up quickly. Probably could have gone on a couple long flights with first class.
I’m trying to decide if it would be worth it. Depending upon fees, it might not be worth transferring the miles.

 | I have these old Logitech desktop speakers that I bought at a charity shop for no more than £5. They are amazing, the sound quality is everything I could ever want from a speaker…or is it? I see a ton of beautiful equipment on here, but does it really sound that much bettedifferent? Do you actually use the 15 different knobs on your sound systems to make micro-adjustments to the audio depending on the genre? No hate at all, I’m just genuinely curious about what draws people to this hobby. In concert with u/Not_a_troll4 excellent post. I'd like to share my experience to hopefully help someone down the line.
BLUF: counseling and NCOERs are critical to professional and personal development. But SF needs to do better.
Professional development is lacking in SF and leader dependent. Specifically talking about counseling/NCOERs here.
When I got to my team the dudes were giving the tm Sgt poorly written word documents with no substance and not receiving solid counseling. And this was NOT their fault, they had never been given legit initial/quartlery counselings, guidance on how to properly complete the NCOER process, or even explained how important it is to career progression.
Between myself and my ADC we had to revamp the detachment NCOER process on the team because ol team sausage never got the development and guidance when we was a young buck. (you see how far this goes back?)
Dudes would now receive a legit initial counseling from rater and senior rater. Followed by quarterly from tm Sgt. I created counseling templates to ensure initial/quarterly had a basic framework to guide both the counseler and counselee.
Dudes would now bring their partially complete NCOER support form to their quarterly counseling and review the last quarter and talk about the next 2ish quarters. This way the dude can track their performance and slowly fill out that support form instead of last minute sending in a shit word doc with no substance.
Once the NCOER window opened up, tm Sgt would already have a 80-90% complete NCOER written by himself and dude so there's no surprises or rushed work.
Myself and ADC would review each NCOER for content, clarity, grammar etc.
Finally, I maintained a folder with all pervious NCOERs (submitted by dude at initial) and OML by rank so I could ensure each NCOER followed a path per dude, ensuring continuity and reflecting proper career progression.
Senior rater comments: WORDS MEAN THINGS. Please ensure your senior rater is using the proper words and enumeration to reflect your potential. This could be it's own post.
None of this is NEW, the Army provides a plethora of regulations/guidelines but it's on YOU as a leader to ensure your subordinates
